Love Spells and The Law of Attraction

The law of attraction: we’ve probably all heard of it by now. First made truly popular by Napoleon Hill in his famous book, Think and Grow Rich, this ‘law’ supposedly holds the key to happiness and success in all aspects of life. It’s since been made even more popular by films like The Secret, and hundreds of books, DVDs and podcasts that have all jumped on the bandwaggon. So what’s it got to do with love spells? Read on to find out…

What is The Law of Attraction?

The first thing to understand about the law of attraction is that it is not actually a law. Not by any normal definition of the term anyway. It has no legal basis, and neither does it have any basis in the laws of physics or nature. Indeed the so-called law is very much open to interpretation, making it the opposite of a law by definition!

The central premise of the law of attraction is that anyone can attract anything they want into their life, essentially through the simple act of positive thinking and determination. It could be money, love, or even a new cat, the end goal is immaterial. The law of attraction, or LOA to use a common abbreviation, says that as long as we believe that what we want is achievable, we’ll be able to obtain it.

Believe is the key word there. If we don’t believe our goal is realistic, the universe won’t oblige us. In this, the LOA is actually bang on. Belief is a vital ingredient. The rest of the law is…fine. It’s no better and no worse than other methods of tapping the energy of the universe.

Universal Energy

Because that’s what the LOA is really doing. When we use positive thinking and determination and visualization and whatever other tools the law says we’re supposed to deploy, we are — whether we know it or not — attempting to tap into universal energies.

In that respect, the law can work. If that’s the case, you might be wondering why we’re not all using it to reach our life goals.

Good question.

Plenty of people do, but we come up against that key issue of belief again. Most people don’t believe in the LOA. Most people think that it, like all the other methods of tapping the energies, is a bunch of hocus pocus nonsense. With that negative attitude, it won’t work for them even if they try. And if they do try, their failure only reinforces their negative belief system. It’s a vicious circle.

By the way, I’ve mentioned “other methods” of tapping the universal energies, and you may be wondering what they are. In fact I’m certain you’ve already heard of many of them. They include systems such as tarot card reading, numerology, divination, feng shui, spell casting, and prayer.

Now you can see where love spells fit into the equation. But before we dive and and see exactly how, I should probably cover the last item on that list.

Prayer is probably the oldest form of tapping universal energies that has been invented by mankind. It has a huge advantage over the other, more recent methods. Human beings have a built-in need to believe in a higher authority. Countless studies show that wherever you go on the planet, whatever civilisation or tribe you look at, there is a desire to worship some form of deity or god.

When we pray, we aren’t sending out our intentions or desires to a faceless and seemingly uncaring universe, we’re communicating with our chosen god. It’s more like a conversation than a plea to the darkness, and as such we become more invested in it.

Crucially though, people who pray have greater belief in what they are doing. Faith is, by definition, a belief system. Worshippers pray to their god, they believe that he/she/it is listening, and that their prayers will be answered. The stronger their belief, the greater the chance of success because of course what’s really going on is their intent and desire is being broadcast to the universe in the same way as through any other means. That, combined with the belief, means they are more likely to be able to “attract” their desire.

Prayer then, is one way of using the LOA. Spell casting is another.

A Question of Efficiency

When we cast a spell such as a love spell, we don’t talk about attraction or about an answer to our prayers, we talk about manifestation. The terminology doesn’t matter, it’s just words. The result is the same. We are tapping universal energy and using it to bring about a result that we desire.

The thing about spell casting is that it is a much more efficient way of achieving the same thing as the other systems. A spell is a way of tapping into universal energy, but it does so directly without any of the wishy-washy mythical ritual associated with traditional methods.

Think of it this way: Imagine you walk through a door into a dark room. The door closes behind you. It’s properly dark, so dark you can’t see your hand in front of your face. Your goal is to reach a door on the other side of the room. You know the door is there, you believe it’s there, but you can’t see it and you don’t know exactly where it is. You don’t even know how big the room is. It might just be a few dozen square feet, or it might be the size of a gymnasium, you have no idea.

There are a few ways you could try to reach your goal of getting to the exit. One would be to walk aimlessly and hope you bump into a door on the other side. Chances are you could get turned around and end up coming back out through the door you entered through. Or you might get lucky and find your way across. Or more likely still, you might spend all your available time going around in circles and not get anywhere at all. This is like hoping for the goal you desire, such as hoping that someone will fall in love with you.

A better way would be to use some kind of tool to help you. You could use a stick to feel what’s ahead of you, or you could tie some string to the entrance door and use it to map out the room in your head and thus ensure you don’t get turned around and go back on yourself. A tool like this is akin to using prayer, or the tarot, or the law of attraction in your bid to reach your goal. It enhances you chances, but it’s far from efficient and there’s no guarantee of success.

Finally you could take the simple option. You could reach out to the spot on the wall by the door you just entered through, find the switch, and turn on the light. Now you can see exactly where the exit door is and exactly how to get to it directly. Easy!

When we cast spells, we are taking this simple option and turning on the light. Rather than using inefficient tools to help us fumble around in the dark, we’re taking the direct approach. We’re not guaranteeing success, after all, the door at the other side might be locked, but we are giving ourselves the best possible chance of a positive outcome.

Love Spells and The Law of Attraction

A love spell then, is simply a direct and efficient application of universal energy. It harnesses the very same forces that are at work when we use the law of attraction, but it does so directly.

That’s not to say there aren’t rituals and procedures that have to be followed, there absolutely are. And it’s not to say that casting spells is easy. Though it’s not difficult as such, it does take practice. With experience, immense power can be summoned. That’s why it’s usually better to seek out a professional and experienced spell caster than to attempt to harness the energy yourself. Both methods will work, but the pro will get their faster and probably with a better result.
